Cookie policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data that a website saves in your browser. This page lists what publicholidaysworld.com uses and why.

1. Our own cookies

None. Public Holidays World does not set cookies of its own, and it uses no analytics or tracking.

2. Local storage (stays on your device)

To remember choices you make, the site saves a few items in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us and are not used to identify you. Because they only remember what you asked for, they are strictly necessary and need no consent.

NamePurposeKept
themeRemembers the dark theme if you switch to it.Until you clear it
leave-…Remembers the leave days you pick on a country’s year calendar (one item per country and year).Until you clear it or press “Clear”
ad-consentRemembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies (only when ads are shown).Until you clear it

3. Cookies from our hosting and security provider

The site runs on Cloudflare. To protect the site from bots and attacks, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example __cf_bm, kept for 30 minutes). On the contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form; it may use similar strictly necessary data for this check only. These are needed for the site to work securely and are not used for advertising.

4. Advertising cookies

The site currently shows no ads, so no advertising cookies are set. If ads are added, ads that use cookies will load only after you accept them in a consent banner, and this page will be updated first.

5. Other websites

Links to Google Calendar, Outlook or other sites open those sites, which may set their own cookies under their own policies.

6. How to control them

You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”. If you clear this site’s data, it simply forgets your theme, your picked leave days and any advertising choice.
