About Pentecost
Pentecost, called Triitsia (Trinity) in Ukraine, falls fifty days after Easter and commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles. Its date follows the Easter date of the Orthodox calendar. Under martial law it is a working day.

Homes and churches are traditionally decorated with green branches, herbs and grass, which is why the period is also known as the Green Holidays.
